When marketing is done in a way where the marketer finds and approaches different people online and tries to sell them his product for free in return for an “honest” review, then it is termed proxy marketing.
Think of it as giving a product sample to a customer and not charging them instead, you ask for a testimonial. This type of marketing is mostly used by new Amazon sellers or for newly created Amazon listings. A PPC campaign does not generate good results if your listing has zero reviews. There are other ways too to get reviews on newly created Amazon listings, for example, the Amazon Vine program. But that is very time-consuming and there could be weeks before you get your first couple of reviews on your listing. PMM Stands for the proxy marketing manager. This is the guy who has a team or group of people who can buy products on Amazon. Or, he has people in contact who can find such people i.e. the people who are interested in posting a product review on Amazon.

PM is any individual who has Amazon buyer in hand or is able to find such people.

Jenny is the informal word for the buyer who will buy and test the product for review.
